Digital Desk: A serious accident occurred during a BJP rally in Tamarhat, where two motorcycles heading to the rally collided head-on, leaving three riders critically injured.


The injured have been identified as Mrinmoy Ray, Rafique Sheikh, and Manoranjan Sen.

All three were initially admitted to Tamarhat Primary Health Centre.


Due to their critical condition, Mrinmoy Ray and Rafique Sheikh were later referred to Dhubri Hospital for advanced treatment.


Rafique Sheikh is the son of Abusama Sheikh from Mechpara village, while Mrinmoy Ray is the son of Anil Ray from Natabari village. Manoranjan Sen hails from Ujanpetla village.


BJP candidate from the No. 6 Golakganj constituency, Ashwini Ray Sarkar, reached the spot soon after the incident.


He assessed the situation and personally ensured that the injured were shifted to Dhubri Hospital for better medical care.


The BJP rally was being held from Bishkura to Hatidhura Satsang Mandir.
