Digital Desk: In a heart-wrenching incident on International Labour Day, an Assamese migrant worker lost his life at a brick kiln in Punjab, leaving his family in a state of profound grief and financial despair.

The deceased, identified as 50-year-old Hasen Ali, was a resident of Dhorarghat village under Gauripur Police Station in Dhubri district.

The fatal accident occurred at the Vishwakarma Brick Factory in the Saniyal area of Ludhiana district.

Reports indicate that Ali died instantly when his neck was severed by a machine blade, an accident allegedly caused by a driver's negligence.

As the sole breadwinner for his household, Ali's sudden death has left his family devastated.

Adding to their distress are serious allegations that the brick kiln authorities are attempting to cover up the incident.

Lacking the financial means to transport the body back to Assam, the grieving family has made an urgent appeal to the state government, district administration, and local organisations.
