Digital Desk: A tragic hit-and-run incident occurred in Hailakandi district, claiming the life of a pedestrian identified as Farid Uddin. This accident occurred at Algapur Syedband.
According to reports, Farid Uddin, a truck driver, was on his way home when a speeding car struck him, leading to his death on the spot. The vehicle immediately fled the scene after the collision.
Later, Hailakandi Superintendent of Police, Amitabh Singh, while travelling in the area, noticed the victim lying on the road.
He immediately rushed Farid Uddin to Hailakandi Civil Hospital in his vehicle.
His family reached the hospital, however, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The family has demanded swift action to locate and seize the vehicle responsible for the accident.
