Digital Desk: In a tragic incident, six tea workers, including a woman, suffered injuries due to a lightning strike during their workday at the Digunsora tea estate in the Cachar district of Assam. The unexpected incident left the laborers with serious injuries, necessitating immediate medical attention. Prompt rescue efforts were launched to transport them to Silchar Medical College for urgent treatment.

The injured workers, identified as Bimal Tanti, Ashu Sakha, Megho Tanti, Benu Tanti, Sephali Tanti, and Tiklu Bhowmik, are currently undergoing treatment at the medical college. However, Tiklu Bhowmik's condition remains critical, highlighting the severity of the situation.

The lightning strike occurred abruptly, catching the workers off guard as they diligently performed their tasks within the tea garden. The force of the strike incapacitated them, emphasizing the need for swift assistance to ensure their well-being.
