The Tripura State Medical Council requires active and recent medical graduates, including governmental doctors and those in private practice to register. A fresh advisory from the council demands doctors to immediately file their registration since this new requirement is now mandatory.
According to Dr. Sushanta Roy, chairman of the council, around 3,804 doctors have registered with the council with 1,022 employed by the government sector. Registration completion has become essential for doctors yet numerous medical professionals have not finished their required registration process. Dr. Roy stressed the urgency of medical professional registration before explaining that the government required it as a necessary step for active clinical work.
Although the council has not set a specific deadline for registration, it remains an open process, giving medical practitioner to complete it at their convenience. According to the council doctors must complete this registration requirement because it stands as a necessary condition for medical practice in Tripura.
