Digital Desk: In a shocking incident in Sivasagar, two people, including a woman, reportedly attempted to abduct a 1-year-old child on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred when Biraj Nath took his two grandchildren for a walk near Borpukhuri, Sivasagar.
During their walk, a woman and an auto-rickshaw driver, identified as Piku Mahali, attempted to kidnap the younger grandchild, leading to chaos in the area.
Fortunately, Biraj Nath, with the help of the local people, quickly rescued the child from the suspected woman.
Later, police arrived at the scene and successfully detained the accused man and woman.
The horrific incident has created panic among locals and family members of the child, leading to heightened tension in the area.
