Digital Desk: Crimes against women have made it difficult for them to live without fear. From walking on the street past 7 to travelling alone on a busy bus during the day, women are forced to think twice. Recognizing the issues that women experience in society, one man decided to step up and provide a solution.

Shyam Chaurasia, a man from Uttar Pradesh, has used his inventive and creative mind to create a self-defense kit for women. The kit contains a purse, sandals, and earrings. These items will allow a woman in trouble to seek immediate help. The purse designed by Chaurasia is called the "Smart Purse Gun". Even though it resembles a typical rifle, shots are fired by pressing a little red button on the purse. The gunshot will help you grab the attention of others around you. The bullets used are blank tablets.

The "Smart anti-rape sandals" are the next item in the package. The sandals are very similar to the handbag, except for the Bluetooth facility. As for the earrings, they have a GPS tracking mechanism along with an emergency call feature.

Speaking about his innovation, Chaurasia stated that he was inspired by the issues that women confront on a daily basis.
