Digital Desk: Punjab's top cop revealed on Sunday that one of the accused had conducted a reconnaissance in Mumbai with the intention of targeting Bollywood actor Salman Khan, shedding light on the connections between the Sidhu Moose Wala killing case and threats received to him. Days after the politician-singer Moose Wala was assassinated in Punjab's Mansa region in June, a threat letter was addressed to Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gave the
order to do the reconnaissance. At a press conference, Punjab director general
of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated: "During the investigation, one of the
arrested accused - Kapil Pandit - revealed that he along with Sachin Bishnoi
and Santosh Yadav - had conducted a recce in Mumbai to target Salman Khan. We will
also interrogate them." He emphasised that gangsters Sampat Nehra and
Goldy Brar were also implicated in the Salman Khan conspiracy.

Goldy Brar, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang approached Kapil to carry out the murder
of Bollywood actor Salman Khan. He admitted that he had previously conducted
reconnaissance with the intent to assassinate Sidhu Moosewala on the orders of
the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in retaliation for the murder of Vicky Middukhera

According to the Punjab top officer,
23 out of a possible 35 suspects have been detained thus far in the Sidhu Moose
Wala murder case. In an interview, he stated, "Two accused were
neutralised in an encounter, and so far 35 accused have been nominated."
He also shared that a Red Corner Notice had been issued by central authorities
through Interpol against mobster Goldy Brar. Six people have either not yet
been detained or are on the police's radar, while four of the alleged murderers
are abroad.

Punjab's chief cop said that it took
105 days to connect the dots in the case and emphasised that the "states
the guilty were hiding include Haryana Rajasthan and West Bengal."
In a statement on Saturday, the Punjab Police described the arrest of Deepak Mundi and his two friends, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder, as "a huge breakthrough." They have all been placed on a six-day police remand.
