Victims should now be prepared to press the record button and have someone ready to capture the assault." "Assaults will have to take place after victims have been notified!" he added.

Digital Desk: On Sunday, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal slammed the Delhi Police for allegedly asking two female wrestlers to provide photos, audio, and video evidence for their sexual harassment allegations against outgoing WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, saying victims should now be prepared to click on camera and have someone record the assault they face.

The remark by Sibal, a senior advocate who represented the protesting wrestlers in the Supreme Court, came in response to a media report claiming that the Delhi Police had asked two female wrestlers who had accused Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Singh of sexual harassment to provide photos, audio, and video evidence.

"Brij Bhushan investigation: Police want video, audio, call recordings, WhatsApp chats as proof," Sibal tweeted. Victims should now be prepared to press the record button and have someone ready to capture the assault." "Assaults will have to take place after victims have been notified!" he added.

The government told the protesting wrestlers that a charge-sheet would be filed against the outgoing WFI president by June 15, after which they suspended their protest. On April 28, the Delhi Police registered two FIRs against Singh at the Connaught Place police station.

Some of the complainants claim Singh made approaches in exchange for "sexual favours," offering to help them advance in their careers. Singh has rejected all claims and stated that if even one allegation is proven against him, he will hang himself.
