Last month, Richa had previously stated in an interview that they "want to do it this year"...

Digital Desk: Richa Chadha has finally confirmed that she will marry actor Ali Fazal this year and that everything will be taken care of. The revelation comes after she informed that their wedding would be postponed owing to the pandemic outbreak in March 2020 and that they would marry in 2022.

Prior to covid-19 restrictions, Ali and Richa had initially planned to tie the knot in April 2020. In an interview with a news agency last year, Ali revealed that they hoped to get married by March 2022.

When asked by a news agency if they would get married in 2022, Richa said, "I think shaadi, shaadi ho jaegi iss saal. Kisi tarah se kar lenge (We will get married this year, we will marry somehow). While we are eager to wed, we also want to be responsible and worry about covid-19. We don't want the incorrect things to make the news. Plus, once things started to happen and work picked back up, we've both become really busy. So, I'm suggesting that in order to make this happen this year, we need to sort of conduct a live production job of taking combo dates."

Last month, Richa had previously stated in an interview that they "want to do it this year" and added that those who met before them had already been married.

Richa and Ali, who previously worked together on Fukrey and Fukrey 2, will reappear on screen in Fukrey 3, the third installment in the trilogy. The new film is directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba and is also produced by Excel Entertainment, a company owned by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
