Digital Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered an injury on Saturday while boarding a helicopter in Durgapur. The Trinamool Congress chief slipped and fell inside the chopper as she was about to take her seat, the Times of India reports.

The CM was helped by her security personnel and she continued with her onward travel to Asansol.

"She was walking in her drawing room when she suddenly slipped and fell down, and her head hit a glass showcase. This led to a deep cut on her forehead and profuse bleeding," a senior TMC leader quoted by TOI.

The helicopter was flying from Durgapur to Asansol, 41 km away by road, NDVT reports.
