Digital Desk: In an unusual incident, a 40-year-old woman in Vadodara was shocked when she discovered that her husband, to whom she had been married for eight years, had previously been a woman who had undergone a sex change procedure.
The 40-year-old woman reportedly complained to the Gotri Police on Wednesday, accusing her husband Viraj Vardhan of infidelity and inappropriate sex.
She also mentioned his family members by name in the FIR. She claimed to have met Viraj Vardhan, who had earlier identified as Vijaita, nine years ago through a matrimonial website. She left with a 14-year-old daughter after her first husband died in a car accident in 2011.
According to reports, the couple got married in front of their relatives in February 2014, but they hadn't consummated their marriage since the accused kept making excuses.
He told her in January 2020 that he wanted to have weight-loss surgery and went to Kolkata to have it done. He then admitted the truth, stating that he had undergone a sex-change procedure to implant male organs. (Reports)
She informed the police that he started performing "unnatural sex" with her after the surgery and threatened her with grave consequences if she told anybody about it.
Inspector MK Gurjar of the Gotri Police then stated that the accused, a native of Delhi, had been brought to Vadodara.
