Digital Desk: In a nail-biting encounter, Australia emerged victorious over South Africa by 3 wickets, securing their spot in the final of the ICC World Cup 2023. The clash, held at a packed stadium, witnessed Australia's formidable chase of 213 runs.

Travis Head's brilliant innings of 62 and David Warner's contribution of 29 provided a promising start for the five-time champions. However, the Proteas fought back, leveraging spin to unsettle Australia's middle order. Mitchell Marsh, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, and Steve Smith fell victim to the Proteas' bowling prowess.

As tension gripped the field, Josh Inglis held his nerves for a while before departing, leaving Australia in a precarious position. The resilient duo of Mitchell Starc (16 not out) and Pat Cummins (16 not out) ultimately guided Australia to a thrilling victory.

South Africa's earlier innings showcased a stellar performance from David Miller, who scored 101, and Heinrich Klaasen, contributing 47. Despite their efforts, Australia's pace attack, led by Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc with three wickets each, proved too formidable for South Africa. Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood also played pivotal roles, dismissing two batters each.

Australia, now poised for their eighth ODI World Cup final, is set to face India at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19, adding another chapter to their storied cricket history.
