Digital Desk: Guwahati, A major accident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday on the Bhangagarh Flyover when a black Hyundai Verna (registration number AS01-EV-7836) ) traveling in the wrong direction collided head-on with a dumper truck. The impact left the car severely damaged, though no injuries or loss of life have been reported.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, police recovered bottles of liquor and a glass, raising strong suspicions of driving under the influence. Authorities promptly arrived at the scene and, with the assistance of a crane, cleared the wrecked vehicle to restore the normal flow of traffic.
The incident has triggered concerns about road safety and reckless driving in the city. An official investigation is currently underway to determine the air crash and whether alcohol was involved in this incident.
