Digital Desk: A horrifying incident took place in Guwahati, where a young woman, Pompi Baruah, tragically lost her life due to a heroin overdose.
The incident occurred during a lavish party in a hotel in Islampur on Saturday night, attended by several rich individuals.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a young man named Imran brought Pompi to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her dead.
After her death, Imran abandoned the young woman at the hospital and fled the scene.
However, Imran was apprehended with the help of doctors and security personnel at the hospital and handed over to the Bhangagarh police.
Authorities have seized a lot of explosive information from Imran's mobile phone, which contains numerous photos of young women, contact numbers, and images related to drugs and heroin.
Further investigations revealed that Imran had been involved in supplying women to the Bhagwan Hotel in Lachit Nagar and arranging them at high-profile parties across Guwahati.
Pompi Baruah reportedly worked at a parlour during the day and engaged with various men at night in exchange for money.
