76 year old man held in Tripura for allegedly raping his 9 year old neighbor

Agartala: In a shocking incident reported from Tripura, one 76 year old man has been held for allegedly raping his 9 year old neighbor.

The accused identified as Manoranjan Das, is a temporary employee at the ‘Rubber Board of India’ and lives just 50 metres from the minor’s house.

As per the police, the accused summoned the girl on Friday when she was walking in front of his house searching for her mother.

In the absence of his family members, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her as she entered the building.

After the girl’s mother filed a report about the incident on Saturday, the police sprung into action and arrested the man.
