Haflong Police team on Tuesday apprehended one man, recovering 10.6 kilos of Ganja in his possession.


Digital Desk:  According to an insider's report, A team led by Haflong police station O/C Ranjit Saikia and his TSI Lakhindar Saikia launched a search operation in the Boro Haflong area and apprehended one person recovering 10.6 kilos of Ganja in his possession.


Notably, Haflong police got the information from a reliable source on a tip-off that smuggling narcotics items are seen beside one person in an auto-rickshaw. 


The apprehended person was identified as Pautuating Jeme, aged 24, a resident of Hokai Punchi village in Dima Hasao. A case no. 29/22 under section 20 (b) of NDPS Act have been registered at Haflong police station under him.


The arrested person was brought before the district and session court on Wednesday and have been remanded for two days for further interrogation at Haflong police station.
