Digital Desk:  Amid incessant human rights violations in Afghanistan as a result of Taliban rule, the war-worn country has been ranked as the "least secure" country in the world, according to local media, citing a Gallup Law and Order Index report.

According to reports, the survey evaluated approximately 120 countries based on the safety and security of their citizens. This report comes after Afghanistan was named the world's "least peaceful" country for the fifth consecutive year in the Global Peace Index.

Afghanistan received a score of 51 because the survey was based on how safe people feel in their communities and whether they were prone to theft or assault in the previous year.

However, Afghanistan's score was an improvement over its previous result in 2019, which was 43 according to Gallup's survey.

However, Singapore was rated as the most secure, with a score of 96 in the survey report.
