Digital Desk: On Saturday night, the Rohingyas arrived at Guwahati's Kamakhya railway station and travelled by road to Silchar. They were on their way from Jammu, according to reports.

On Sunday morning, Assam Police detained a total of 26 Rohingyas in Silchar who were travelling from Jammu. All 26 of them, according to sources, are Myanmar natives who had travelled from Jammu to Silchar.

"On Saturday night, the Rohingyas arrived at Guwahati's Kamakhya railway station and travelled by road to Silchar. They were on their way from Jammu. Twelve of the total are children.

They're being interrogated right now, and we're looking into it," said Ramandeep Kaur, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Cachar district.

She also stated that more investigation is being conducted. According to the SP, there are three families involved, each of whom has a link in Silchar whom the police are attempting to find. "Someone in Silchar has been in contact with them." "We're trying to track down the individual," SP added.
