The Assam team presented very well and bagged 2nd Runners-Up trophy in the overall sanda category


Digital Desk: In the 21st Sub-Junior National (Boys and Girls) Wushu Championship held in Kanyakumari recently, the players from Assam shone as they bagged 17 medals, including 5 gold, 3 silver, and 9 bronze medals. The state team also made Assam proud as they were awarded the 2nd Runners Up trophy in the overall Sanda Category.


The medal winners in the Talou group are Ningsi Borphukan with one Gold, Kiran Chetry with one silver and one bronze, Ayan Dutta won a Silver, Kashyapi Sonowal, Manjit Bhumij and Manish Chettry achieved bronze medal each.


In the Sanda (Free Fighting) category, Jishan Hussain, Ankur Bhowmik, Dibyajyoti Doley and Abhijit Buragohai won gold. In contrast, Tulika Chetia won silver and Munna Mili, Jetlina Kachari, Sumi Borah, and Zurim Pegu secured the bronze medal in their name.
