The triumph of Assamese children continues in the Indian sports arena as Hima das and Amlan Borgohain eventually secured themselves by winning gold in the championship.


Digital Desk: A new-gen player Amlan Borgohain from Assam, excelled in 

National Federation Cup Athletics Competition by setting a national record of 20.52 seconds and winning gold in the men's 200m.


Amlan is the first Assamese player to qualify for the World Championships to be held in Oregon, USA, in July. Amlan has also qualified for the 22nd Asian Games with this brilliant performance. 


Our dhing express of Assam Hima Das also managed to win a gold medal in the women's 200m with a time of 23.83 seconds. After the success of Hima Das and Amlan Borgohain, a new ray of hope has emerged among the sports lovers of the state and the athletic sector of Assam. 


The Assam Athletics Association President Lakshya Konwar, Editor Ashok Bharali, and non-Assamese people have congratulated the athletes on their success in the doubles.
