Digital Desk: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on September 13th convened a meeting in Mintokgang to discuss His Holiness The Dalai Lama's visit to Sikkim. 

CM Tamang stated that His Holiness will visit Sikkim on October 10, 2023, and return on October 14, 2023. 

Minister Ecclesiastical Ven Sonam Lama, Chief Secretary V.B. Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary S.Sudhakar Rao, and other HoDs and officers involved in the tour also attended the meeting. 

The Chief Minister, who presided over the meeting, emphasised the importance of the visit and asked everyone present to take it seriously because it includes not only the affected ministries but the entire state. 

"Ever since we formed the Government in 2019, we have made every effort to extend an invitation to His Holiness to visit Sikkim and seek His blessings. Finally, our efforts are going to yield fruit this year. So we should leave no stone unturned in making this a historic and unforgettable visit," the Chief Minister stated.

Furthermore, important committees and groups have also been constituted, The visit will be chaired by the Chief Minister, the Minister Ecclesiastical, and the Chief Secretary.
