Digital Desk: India and Sri Lanka will focus on ODI cricket after the three-match T20I series is over and play each other in 50-over matches. The team will now concentrate on 50-over matches as India will be the host country of the 13th ICC Men's ODI World Cup in 2023. The first game of the series will be played on January 10 in Guwahati, with the following two taking place on January 12 and 15 in Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram, respectively.

The three games that will serve as the formal start of India's ODI World Cup preparations will be led by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, who has missed the previous two bilateral series. He will be joined by a sizable number of seasoned players who will help the squad get back into the game.

India won in the T20I series 2-1, and the game itself was thrilling. India last played Sri Lanka in an ODI series in July 2021, when Shikhar Dhawan headed a backup Indian team that travelled to the island to compete. India won the series 2-1, and they intend to continue to win in the remaining three games.

Schedule for the ODI series

1st ODI, Guwahati (January 10)

2nd ODI, Kolkata (January 12)

 3rd ODI, Thiruvananthapuram (January 15)
