Digital Desk: The Delhi traffic police have issued a warning ahead of Monday's Independence Day celebrations advising commuters to avoid certain routes as they would be closed to allow for the movement of VIPs, including prime minister Narendra Modi, who will address the country from the Red Fort's ramparts.

From 4 a.m. to 11 a.m., the limitations will be in effect. Here are a few of the roads that will be off-limits to traffic during this time:

 From four in the morning until ten in the morning, the following roads are accessible from Red Fort: Netaji Subhash Marg, Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail, Lothian Road GPO to Chatta Rail, SP Mukherjee Marg/HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazaar Chowk, Chandni Chowk Road Fawwara Chowk to Red Fort, Nishad Raj Marg Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg, Link Road to Esplanade Road and Netaji (ISBT to IP Flyover).

 Vehicles with parking labels, however, will be permitted to use these routes.

The following roads should not be used by commuters in vehicles without parking labels: C-Hexagon India Gate, Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, Sikandra Road, W Point, A Point, Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, BSZ Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Ring Road between Nizamuddin Khatta and ISBT Kashmere Gate, and ISBT Kashmere Gate to Outer Ring Road (via Nizamuddin Khatta and Salimgarh Bypass).
