On Wednesday, Yasin Malik, a terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the National Investigation Agency.

Digital Desk: India lambasted the OIC-IPHRC on Friday for criticizing a court's decision in the Yasin Malik terror funding case and said that the group has tacitly shown support for terrorist operations.

India has advised the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) not to legitimize terrorism in any way, asserting that the world wants zero tolerance against the threat.

Ministry of External Affairs spokeswoman Arindam Bagchi said that Malik's terrorist activities have been recorded and shown in court.

Further, responding to media questions about the OIC- IPHRC on the NIA Court's decision involving Yasin Malik, he said that India finds the comments unsatisfactory.

The comments made today by the OIC-IPHRC criticizing India for its decision on the Yasin Malik issue are unacceptable to India. The OIC-IPHRC has tacitly voiced support for Yasin Malik's terrorist operations, which have been documented and proven in court, Bagchi added.  "The world desires zero tolerance for terrorism, and we ask the OIC not to legitimize it in any way," he said.

On Wednesday, Yasin Malik, a terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in a terror funding case. Moreover, he was fined Rs 10 lakh by the NIA court.

He was twice sentenced to life imprisonment. NIA has sought death punishment for the terrorist leader, who was found guilty on May 19.

Malik had stated in court that he would not challenge the charges filed against him.
