Go First has also provided both the doctor and the customer with a complimentary free ticket to any domestic or international destination in the airline's network.

Digital Desk: A doctor on board a Go First flight and the cabin crew saved a passenger who experienced a cardiac arrest mid-flight, the airline said in a statement.

The passenger, identified as Younus Rayanroth, was going from Kannur to Dubai when he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Notably, the airline announced a cash reward for the cabin crew, recognising the timely intervention.

The airline said, "As the passenger shouted for help, the Go First cabin crew immediately ran towards the passenger and found him unconscious with no pulse and no breathing. Not a second was wasted; with the help of other passengers, the casualty was placed on the aft galley floor and the crew began the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, process," the airline stated.

It added, "Fortunately, a doctor, Dr Shabar Ahmed, was also travelling on the same flight. He treated the casualty with two sets of automated external defibrillators (AED) shock, followed by five sets of CPR. Together with the cabin crew, the doctor resuscitated the customer back to life. "

After being given oxygen and placed in a recovery position, the passenger gradually recovered consciousness.

Meanwhile, the crew maintained effective crowd management, looked after other customers, and provided regular information on the medical status to the cockpit crew. Rayanroth was escorted off the plane in a wheelchair when the plane landed on time in Dubai.

Moreover, Go First has also provided both the doctor and the customer with a complimentary free ticket to any domestic or international destination in the airline's network.
