There will be intermittent disruption of power supply in some pockets during the activity, which is unavoidable...

Digital Desk: In order to prevent disruption and support a stable power supply in parts of Kohima, the state will experience a power shutdown from October 10, 2023, to November 1, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is due to the power department transmission division in Kohima carrying out jungle clearance and maintenance on 33 kV lines.

There will be intermittent disruption of power supply in some pockets during the activity, which is unavoidable; however, they said that they will try to minimize the total shutdown.

According to the schedule, the following areas (feeders) will be completely shut down during the exercise to clear the jungle: Zunza and Lalmati area (33kV Lalmati & API feeder Oct 27–30), Chakhabama and Chozuba area (33kV Chakhabama Oct 31–Nov 1), Southern Angami area (33kV Jakhama Oct 10–13), and Northern Angami area (33kV Botsa Oct 14–20).

Meanwhile, the department has asked the general public and customers to bear the inconvenience.

The Transmission Division of the Power Department in Dimapur released a statement earlier in September, including a recent blackout that had an impact on several districts of Nagaland, including Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland, and Peren.

The electricity supply in the aforementioned districts was disrupted by a grid disturbance, which was blamed for the blackout.
