Digital Desk : Ministry of Civil Aviation reported on Monday that Alliance Air will deploy its first Dornier 228 aircraft on Tuesday for a flight between Dibrugarh and Pasighat.

In February, Alliance Air and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited signed an agreement to lease two 17-seater Dornier 228 aircraft. On April 7, Alliance Air received its first Dornier 228 aircraft.

In a statement, the airline said it would conduct its first flight on Tuesday between Dibrugarh, Assam, and Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh to boost connectivity in the North Eastern states.

As the first commercial airline flying Indian-made aircraft, Alliance Air will be India's first airline to fly its aircraft for civil operations.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, there will also be inauguration of first flying training organisation at Lilabari, Assam, it mentioned.

Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present on the occasion of Dornier 228's first flight and the flying training organisation's opening.
