Digital Desk: Today, Basistha Police have arrested a four-member gang allegedly involved in multiple motorcycle thefts across Assam.


The arrested people have been identified as Vicky Rahman, Mridu Boro, Palash Barai alias Mintu, and Dhruva Baruah alias Lora, all residents of Jorhat.


Police recovered three stolen motorcycles from their possession, along with various tools and materials believed to have been used in the thefts. One of the recovered motorcycles had been stolen from Jorhat on 16th January .


The arrests were made following coordinated operations carried out in Guwahati and Jorhat. According to police sources, the gang had been creating panic in different parts of Assam by carrying out a series of motorcycle thefts.


Further investigation is currently underway.
