Digital Desk: Ramya Ravi grew up eating her grandmother's donne biryani. The Karnataka-type biryani was not as well known as the Lucknow and Hyderabad varieties. She made the decision to start a Biryani business. She wished to make the flavour a worldwide sensation. The company was founded in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and has been relatively successful in a short period of time.

Her family owns a hotel network. She, on the other hand, desired to start her own business. Bengaluru is where she was born. Shweta and Raveena are her two sisters. She attended The Valley School for her education. She later earned a B Com from Christ College in Bengaluru.

Ramya told Global Indian in 2022 that her father always encouraged her and her sisters to be entrepreneurs. She also took a short-term management course at Harvard University to improve her business knowledge.

She saw her father at work and learned from him. She also assisted her father, R Ravichanda.

She, on the other hand, desired to establish her own business. RNR Biryani is the name of her new business. It was named after her father and grandfather.

To begin with, they just had 200 square feet in Nagarabhavi, Bengaluru. They only had one cook. Their company, on the other hand, became a runway success. In their first month, they delivered 10,000 packages. As demand soared, they continued to build kitchens. They want to construct a restaurant in Bengaluru's Jayanagar neighbourhood in late 2021.

The cuisine is served in tin boxes, which adds to the charm.

Ramya is a Bharatanatyam dancer as well.
