Itanagar: In a joint operation led by Assam Rifles-Arunachal Pradesh police NSCN-K(YA) cadre has been arrested in Arunachal Pradesh. Moreover, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition have been seized from his possession.
The cadre has been identified as SS Corporal Wangai Wangpan, a resident of Chasa village, Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh.
Reportedly, following intelligence inputs, the PolicePolice launched an operation and arrested Wangai from the jungle area of Jongphohate village, Changlang district.
The PolicePolice have sized AK-56 Assualt Rifles, Lathode Gun, AK magazines 03, pistol magazines 02, 9mm ammunition ten rounds, radio set, mobile phones, cash, and other arms and ammunition.
