A video of the incident has gone viral, showing men joyously beating the air and cheering the man atop the wall as he goes about seeding the flag.


Digital Desk: On the occasion of Ram Navami, a man was seen climbing a mosque wall and placing a saffron flag on top of its gate in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Hundreds of men on bikes, wielding swords and hockey sticks, cheered him on.


A video of the incident has gone viral, showing men jubilantly thumping the air and cheering the man atop the wall as he searches for a suitable location for the flag.


While celebrating Ram Navami, the men marched in front of the Dak Bangla Masjid in Mohammadpur village.


According to senior superintendent of police Jayant Kant, three suspects were detained in Bihar for reportedly rooting a saffron flag on a mosque in Muzaffarpur.


Muzaffarpur police responded to the scene and removed the flag; the situation was brought under control, but there has been no communal uproar since the incident, according to the police.
