The Indian Army's Trishakti Corps personnel started the rescue effort, which lasted until late at night.

The goal of the operation was to relocate visitors—including women, children, and the elderly—to safe areas where they would be given hot meals, warm clothes, shelter, and medical attention.

In order to accommodate the stranded visitors, the soldiers even vacated their barracks. The visitors have conveyed their appreciation for the Army's prompt assistance.
