Digital Desk: The Supreme Court today (September 10) said that those who feed stray dogs may be held accountable if they attack someone. The apex court added that those who regularly feed stray dogs might be held liable for their vaccination while emphasising the need to find a solution to the stray dog scourge.

A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and JK Maheshwari was hearing petitions related to the problem of stray dogs in Kerala. The bench emphasised the importance of preventing stray dogs from attacking unarmed civilians.

Advocate VK Biju said that since August 8, several people have died and vicious dogs have attacked women, children, and pedestrians in public spaces. At a recent hearing before the supreme court, Biju brought up the problem of stray dog attacks and emphasised the recent passing of a 12-year-old victim in Kerala.
