Protesters spray-paint 'India' on the main gate of the Hurriyat Conference's primary building.

Digital Desk: Officials claimed a number of people, including social activists, protested outside the Hurriyat Conference office here on Monday in response to the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat by terrorists last week. 

Protesters gathered outside the office of the Hurriyat led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Rajbagh. They considered the Hurriyat responsible for the Valley's slaughter. 

According to officials, demonstrators daubed "India" on the main gate of the Hurriyat's primary office and tore down the separatist amalgam's signboard. The gate was closed.

According to the officials, demonstrators included social activists, municipal officials, and Kashmiri Pandits.

According to one of the demonstrators, the Hurriyat office would be closed soon and an orphanage would be run out of the building. Another demonstrator, a Kashmiri Pandit, stated that the people of Kashmir had realised they desired peace rather than bloodshed. 

Terrorists assassinated Bhat outside his ancestral home in Shopian on Saturday. The Hurriyat "denounced the hooliganism" demonstrated outside its office "by sponsored goons with police as onlookers," according to a statement. 

"It is a trivial attempt to divert attention away from the authorities' failure to protect Kashmiri Pandits' lives," the separatist amalgam added. – according to reports.
