Digital Desk: Rohit Sharma has shattered the record for most runs in a single World Cup as captain. While India was playing Australia in the CWC 2023 final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the captain of India passed New Zealand's Kane Williamson.

After being dismissed on 47 with four fours and three sixes, Sharma amassed 597 runs in the 2023 World Cup. With his 29th run, Rohit, who had 550 runs before this game, surpassed Williamson's 578 runs.
