This Special TET exam was conducted to fill up the vacant positions in the district.

Digital Desk: Youth who have passed the special TET exam in Karbi Anglong district still haven’t received appointments. Under the Sixth Schedule, the Assam Government had conducted this special TET exam in 2023 for the district. 

This Special TET exam was conducted to fill up the vacant positions in the district. However, neither the government nor the council has provided appointment to the TET- qualified youth till date.

The TET-qualified youth held a press conference in Diphu regarding this issue to express their deep dissatisfaction.
 
With many of them approaching the age limit for government jobs, they have approached the Chief Executive Member, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, multiple times regarding this issue.

However, allegations have been raised that the council has not passed any advertisement seeking applications for appointments for this youths. 

The youth stated that there’s been no benefit for them even after qualifying the TET exam and demanded for immediate appointments for them.

Otherwise, alternative measures are to be taken by them as they stated in their press conference.
