Digital Desk: On 7th May, a horrific road accident took place in Jalukbari after a speeding dumper truck allegedly ran over a motorcyclist, leading to his death on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Sameer Baishya of Azara.
As per reports, the accident occurred while Sameer was returning home from work. He was employed at Mahindra Finance in Adabari. The mishap took place on the Adabari-to-Azara stretch when the speeding dumper hit the bike.
Following the accident, the dumper driver fled the scene. However, police later arrested the accused driver at Dharapur.
The motorcycle involved in the accident bore registration number AS-01 GH-7748. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
