Digital Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced India's squad for the upcoming T20I series against Australia. Premier batter Suryakumar Yadav has been entrusted with the captaincy for the entire 5-match series, set to kick off on November 23 in Visakhapatnam.

With the notable absence of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav will steer the team. Vice-captaincy duties have been divided between Shreyas Iyer, who will join the squad for the last two T20Is in Raipur and Bengaluru, and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad, appointed as deputy for the initial three matches.

India’s squad: Suryakumar Yadav (Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad (vice-captain), Ishan Kishan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar.
