Digital Desk: The talented Assamese cricketer Riyan Parag will not be playing in the upcoming IDFC First Bank 5-match T20I series against Australia, which will begin in Visakhapatnam on November 23, 2023. Despite his outstanding performance in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Parag will not be part of the series.

The Men's Selection Committee had earlier announced the squad for the series, with Suryakumar Yadav assigned as the captain. The vice-captain for the final two T20Is in Raipur and Bengaluru will be Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer.

The third T-20 international between Australia and India will take place on November 28, 2023, at the ACA Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, according to confirmation from the Assam Cricket Association (ACA). It has also been made clear by ACA Secretary Trideep Konwar that there has been no formal notification about Parag joining the national team.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will serve as vice-captain while captain Suryakumar Yadav will lead the Indian team. Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, and Ravi Bishnoi are the other members of the team.
