"Congratulations to #TeamIndia on winning the ODI series." Keep up the good work and continue this form. "Special mention to @RishabhPant17 and @hardikpandya7 for a wonderful performance," Tendulkar tweeted.

Digital Desk: One of the numerous luminaries to congratulate the Indian team on their fantastic 2-1 ODI series victory against England was cricket great Sachin Tendulkar. India defeated England by taking the ODIs with victories in the first and third match after taking the T20Is. India retained their composure to defeat England by five wickets in the series finale at Old Trafford, Manchester after England had rallied after winning the first ODI by a margin of 10 wickets.

Tendulkar shared a message for Team India, asking them to keep it up, and reserved special praise for the two Indian stars of the day, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, both of whom had crucial performances and without whose contributions, the win might not have been possible. Pant scored his first ODI century, while Pandya notched his eighth half-century, and the pair led the team home.

India was in danger at 72/4 in the pursuit of 260 when Pandya and Pant partnered. The circumstance was comparable to the previous match at Lord's, where India had cheaply lost its top order. However, Pant and Pandya flipped the script this time, and less than 20 years after India's illustrious Natwest Trophy victory, they created a relationship like that of Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif. They added 133 runs together to push India's total over 200. Although Pandya died in an effort to end the game quickly, Pant continued to bat flawlessly, scoring 125 runs off 113 balls, leading his team to victory.

Pant, who began the trip in Edgbaston with a century, appropriately completed it with a century. Pandya, on the other hand, has kept up his impressive play since rejoining the Indian team. Prior to his innings of 71 off 55 balls, which included 10 fours, Pandya had taken four wickets, set a few records, and taken four. Pandya was named the Player of the Series for his six wickets in two games and 100 runs in two innings.
