Virat Kohli's current issues were further explained by Gavaskar, who asserted that the modern-day great is plagued by the constant line outside the off-stump and that his "anxiety" to get back to his scoring form is making matters worse.

Digital Desk: The legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar claimed he is willing to assist Virat Kohli in getting out of his slump and said that he may know what is impairing the star batter's performance in all formats of the game. Gavaskar suggested that his advice could benefit Kohli in overcoming the much-discussed form slump.

Addressing the media, Sunil Gavaskar stated that all he needs is 20 minutes with Virat Kohli to explain what he thinks is weighing the star batter down today, one day after India's 2-1 ODI series victory in England.

Virat Kohli's current issues were further explained by Gavaskar, who asserted that the modern-day great is plagued by the constant line outside the off-stump and that his "anxiety" to get back to his scoring form is making matters worse.

Gavaskar's remarks was made as Kohli is going through one of his most difficult periods professionally. In the just finished ODI series, the top batsman scored just 33 runs in two ODIs and 12 runs in two T20Is. The highly anticipated Birmingham Test saw Kohli return from a break, but the great batsman only scored 31 runs over the course of two innings, extending his century drought past the two-year mark.

"If I had about 20 minutes with him, I would be able to tell him the things he might have to do. It might help him, I am not saying it will help him but it could, particularly with regards to that off-stump line," Gavaskar told media.
