Digital Desk: P P Singh aka a senior journalist Pushp Paul Singh, died on April 17 in Guwahati of heart problems, PP Singh founded the first news portal from the Northeast.

According to preliminary indications, the prominent journalist had been suffering from heart problems for some time. He exhaled his last breath about 1 a.m. last night.

P P Singh had worked in journalism for over 30 years. He began his career in Tripura with The Times Of India.

The senior journalist also worked for Eco Times and the BBC before launching the Northeast's first news platform.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed deep sorrow on the death of the senior journalist by  a tweet post, he stated, "Deeply pained to learn about the demise of veteran journalist Pushp Paul Singh, who was a well-known face of media for 3 decades in the North East. I offer my sincere condolences to his aggrieved family & well-wishers.Om Shanti!",


It is a great loss for the media community, as well as his family and friends, and the experienced journalist will be remembered lovingly for his contributions to the sector.
