Following a resounding victory in Mizoram, ZPM head Lalduhoma succeeded Zoramthanga as the New CM...

Digital Desk: On December 6, Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati officially appointed Zoram People's Movement leader Lalduhoma as the state's new chief minister. 

Lalduhoma met with Governor Hari Babu to make his claim to establish the Mizoram administration.

He stated that the state's young were tired of the current Mizo National Front (MNF) and were anxious for a regime change that would bring fresh ideas and beliefs. Lalduhoma expressed thanks for the victory, attributing it to God's and the people's blessings. 

He stated that the public had elected him as their leader the previous year and that his nomination as CM was expected. He stated that the new government would prioritise a variety of subjects throughout its 45 departments.

Lalduhoma intends to conduct a press conference following the inauguration to announce the government's key priorities. On Tuesday, ZPM held a special worship service to commemorate their triumph.
