Washington D.C.: During her-sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey, Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle opened up about the toll royal life has on her mental health which inculcated thoughts of self harming while she was pregnant.

In a stunning revelation of the Britain’s royal family, Meghan accused her family for fostering an atmosphere of racial hostility so intense that she came close to suicide. Meghan claimed that members of the royal family had openly expressed concerns about how dark her son Archie’s skin would be, that they had gone to extraordinary lengths to deny him a royal title, and that they had refused to provide him with security.

The interview was broadcast on CBS in the US on Sunday night and will be aired in the UK on ITV at 9 pm on Monday.
