Digital Desk: A woman who was receiving treatment at a hospital in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh's Noida allegedly died as a result of "gross neglect" According to the police, a case had been filed after it was discovered that the doctor in charge of the facility had a bogus medical degree.
The "doctor," identified
as Priyaranjan Thakur, has reportedly been apprehended and a FIR has been
lodged against him, according to Rajesh S, the deputy commissioner of police
for central Noida.
The DCP reported that on August 19,
the woman went to the Eco Village 2 housing society's IVF Creation World Center
in the Bisrakh neighbourhood of Greater Noida.
She was receiving In-Vitro
Fertilization (IVF) "treatments" and was a frequent visitor. She
became ill, though, and because the hospital lacked emergency care, her health
deteriorated and she fell into a coma, necessitating her transfer to another
hospital.
"The validity of Thakur's medical records was confirmed during the investigation. His 2005 MBBS degree listed Bhupendra Narayan University in Madhepura, Bihar; however, the degree was false when it was verified "Rajesh, DCP, said.
Following a complaint by the woman's husband, Thakur has been charged under numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code, including death by carelessness. According to authorities, a second case has been launched with allegations of forgery and cheating.
