Digital Desk: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda landed in Guwahati on Monday on a special flight directly from Agartala. Assam Chief Minister Himamnta Biswa Sarma and other party leaders welcomed him.

The state BJP leader, Bhabesh Kalita, Palasbari MLA, Hemanga Thakuria, MP Dilip Saikia, and cabinet minister Ashok Singhal were present to greet Nadda.

Additionally, the Guwahati airport had strict security measures in place when the BJP national president arrived.

A dance group has been organised to give the Bihu dance to Nadda as part of his greeting.

It is to be noted that Nadda is set to visit the Kamakhya temple in the city. He will then proceed to the recently built North East BJP office, known as "Padma Bhawan," in the Uzanbazar neighbourhood.

In addition to addressing the crowd, he will inaugurate the office in front of three ministers from the Union. In this regard, Guwahati has welcomed Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju.

Ministers Rameswar Teli and Pratima Bhowmik will accompany him.

The next stop on the BJP national president's itinerary is Machkhowa's ITA Center.

The meeting will also include the participation of the chief ministers of four northeastern states. Apart from the Assam CM, they also include the chief ministers of Arunachal Pradesh (Pema Khandu), Manipur (N Biren Singh), and Tripura (Manik Saha).
