Digital Desk: Amid heavy rains causing artificial flooding across Assam, significant portions of Kaziranga National Park remain submerged. According to the latest update from authorities, the death toll of animals has risen to 114. The casualties include 93 hog deer, six rhinos, and two Sambar deer that drowned in the floods. On a positive note, officials have rescued 95 animals, with many already released back into their natural habitat and others undergoing treatment.

Additionally, the report highlights that 66 out of 233 camps within the park, including one in Biswanath Wildlife Division and four in Nagaon Wildlife Division, are currently flooded. Specific details indicate nine flooded camps in Agratoli, 24 in Kaziranga, 19 in Bagori, five in Burhapahar, and four in Bokakhat ranges.

Moreover, the report specifies that water levels at Pasighat and Dibrugarh are below danger levels, but remain above dangerous thresholds at Numaligarh, Nimatighat, Tezpur, and Dhansirimukh.
