Digital Desk: Assam-based Dr Chetana Joshi becomes the first civilian woman to complete the Army Civil Joint Trekking Expedition from Mugutang to tamze. Dr Joshi covered 160 km in 14 days, travelling across four valleys and four passes in the high-altitude areas of north Sikkim.

Sharing her experience, Dr. Joshi said, "The experience was humbling because it taught me some beautiful lessons I'd cherish through life...Firstly, the step beyond the immediate hardship is one filled with happiness in real terms... Secondly, you can have what you wish for if you're willing to work towards it be it whatever it demands...Third the limits of your body and your caliber are made in your mind...Challenge it and stretch it, You are capable of more than you know...This success is a success for all the young girls I look around me with dreams in their eyes."

"Humble to receive momento from GOC 33 corps for becoming the first civilian women to complete this high pass trek. I am truly privileged and happy to get such an opportunity from Eastern Command-Indian Army. Thanks for the life-changing experience as this will be etched in my heart forever..I am extremely thankful to the Indian Army ( Eastern Command ) from the bottom of my heart and all the Army team members," she added.

Notably, Chetana Joshi debunked all myths surrounding women’s physical and mental strength with her glorious advent.
