Digital Desk: The 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will continue from Uttar Pradesh Wednesday after a nine-day winter break.

The yatra lasted more than 110 days and recorded 3,000 kilometres. Before the break, the yatra went from the southern states to Rajasthan and Delhi.

So far, the Yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari, has taken in sections of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Haryana. It will all come to a head in Jammu and Kashmir.

As stated by the Congress, it is the longest march on foot by any Indian politician in Indian history.

Rahul Gandhi's yatra intends to mobilise the party's cadre and unify the general public against the BJP's "divisive policies in the country."

Meanwhile, following the present 'Bharat Jodo Yatra,' which will begin in Srinagar on January 26, the Congress is preparing to begin the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' campaign, to disseminate the yatra's message across the country.

According to insiders, the former Congress president has entrusted Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, sister and AICC national general secretary, with the responsibility of leading the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' campaign across the country, with a specific emphasis on women.

"After the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Congress will launch a two-month 'Hath Se Hath Jodo Campaign," stated Congress general secretary KC Venugopal. As part of this campaign, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will conduct foot marches and rallies with women members in every state capital to disseminate the message of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'.

According to sources, Priyanka will lead a round of walks with women cadres in March, focusing on growing inflation and its impact on the population, particularly the middle class. Other women's issues will also be a major rallying factor.

While the Congress campaign, which features Priyanka as its face, is targeted at attracting women voters, who make up about half of the country's population.
